Most website delays come from missing content and unclear decisions, not from development. Preparing these six things helps your project move quickly.
1. A clear goal
What should a visitor do? Call you, request a quote, buy a product? One main goal shapes every page.
2. A page list
List the pages you need. For each, write two or three sentences about its purpose.
3. Brand assets
Collect your logo files, colours and any brand guidelines. If you have none, plan a branding step first.
4. Content owner
Choose one person who writes or approves content and gives feedback.
5. Domain and hosting access
Make sure you can log in to your domain registrar and hosting account. Do not share passwords by email; we will explain safer ways to grant access.
6. Examples you like
Note two or three websites you like and say why. This saves design time.
